As you well know, Easter is this weekend.
I’ve always loved Easter. As a kid, I had such fun dyeing eggs – especially when we got to use the little wax crayons to draw designs on them. Of course, I never waited long enough for the eggs to cool after boiling them, so my designs were often pretty “abstract.”
I couldn’t wait to get my basket full of candy and plastic grass and then get all excited for the big post-service Easter Egg Hunt. (more…)
Spring is almost officially here!
Are you ready for it? I know I am! I love to see the flowers in my yard bloom, the baby bunnies hop around the woods nearby, and the sun set later and later each evening.
I also love the idea of new things coming up every year – reminding us that some things must wither away, leaving plenty of room for new things to pop up. (more…)

As we approach the Easter holiday, it’s easy to get caught up in the season. It’s easy to focus on all the THINGS going on around us instead of the real meaning of Easter.
Just remember that it’s not about chocolate bunnies, finding the prize egg, or wearing a new outfit for church on Sunday.
Remember that we are a broken people in need of a Savior, and it is by HIS wounds we are healed.
