It’s that time of year…PUMPKIN EVERYTHING!
Pumpkin bread, pumpkin waffles, pumpkin spice Cliff Bars, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin pie yogurt, pumpkin spice Hershey Kisses (What?), and even pumpkin Oreos (C’mon now! That’s just wrong!).
(Just an aside, the more times I typed the word pumpkin, the less it sounded like a real word.)

Several months ago, I told you about the Strawberry Almond Smoothie my husband drinks for breakfast almost every morning.
Today I wanted to share my version – the Awesome Blueberry Almond Smoothie! It’s an adapted version of the same smoothie we found in Dr. Mark Hyman’s 10-Day Detox book that has some other amazing recipes.

Yes, this had already been posted one time, but I’ve had several people asking me again about what they can eat for breakfast that will be healthy AND filling.
So, here is my hearty yummy breakfast. The main thing I try to accomplish with my breakfast is to eat something that will fill me up, keep me feeling full for a while, and give me a good bit of protein and fiber. I found this Strawberry Almond Smoothie recipe when my husband and I did our 10-Day Detox (Dr. Mark Hyman) last year. During that process I found that I fair much better with bulk for breakfast, but my husband still drinks his every morning. This recipe is made with frozen strawberries, but I always made mine with blueberries. I’m sure any berry-type fruit would work just fine.
